Based on Stephen King’s chilling novel, Pet Sematary (2019) is a bone-chilling exploration of grief, desperation, and the horrifying consequences of tampering with the natural order. Directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer, this modern adaptation reimagines King’s classic horror story with unsettling atmosphere, intense performances, and shocking twists that will keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

Storyline

Dr. Louis Creed (Jason Clarke) relocates with his wife Rachel (Amy Seimetz) and their two children to a rural town in Maine. Behind their new home lies a mysterious forest—and within it, an ancient burial ground known as the "Pet Sematary." When the family’s beloved cat, Church, dies in an accident, Louis learns from his neighbor, Jud Crandall (John Lithgow), about the cemetery's dark power: anything buried there returns to life.

Though initially skeptical, Louis is soon driven by grief and temptation to test the cemetery's powers. But as the family discovers, some things are better left dead. What begins as a desperate attempt to heal their loss spirals into a nightmarish descent into terror, as the resurrected are not quite what they seem.
